“Steady” Ed Memorial Masters Cup TournamentTop Professional Disc Golfers from around the country will converge on Santa Cruz to compete in this National Tour event, the DGA “Steady” Ed Memorial Masters Cup. “Steady” Ed Memorial Masters Cup Tournament takes place yearly in the Spring

The De Laveaga course is considered by many in the sport to be one of the best disc golf courses in the world and is the home course of World Champion Nate Doss. A strong field is always expected. “Between the level of competition that shows up for the event and the challenging course design, I would say this is one of the hardest events to win in disc golf” says De Laveaga club member and event organizer Marty Hapner.

Each year at the event the “Steady” Ed Memorial Trophy is presented to the player who best exemplifies “Steady” Ed’s code of conduct for the sport of Disc Golf. “Steady” Ed Headrick was the founder of the sport of Disc Golf and the tournaments namesake. Ed believed that one should “leave things better than you find them” and also that “whoever has the most fun, wins”.
